Conversion of a Historic Mill at Garras Project News, Appeals, Environment 18/02/2021 by Gilly
We worked with the talented Matt Robinson Architecture in resubmitting a planning application for an annexe, using the shell of an old mill building in the Cornish countryside. This sought to reinstate the original second storey, and provide attractive additional accommodation for the host dwelling, whilst retaining the rural and historic character of the site. The application was unfortunately refused by Cornwall Council, despite our convictions that it was entirely acceptable under local and national planning policy. We built a robust case at appeal, and secured a well-deserved win. We can’t wait to see Matt’s plans become a reality!
