Coastline Housing's Homeless Project Project News, Community, Heritage 05/09/2019 by Andrew
We were approached to join the project team to help inform the proposal as it evolved to its planning submission. Our thorough research into the history of the site and wider area helped demonstrate which parts of the proposal risked causing substantial harm and allowed us to advise the project team towards positive results.
Following our recommendations the plans were refined and submitted to the planning authority for their determination. The application was approved by the Planning Committee with a solid majority vote. In recommending approval, the Planning Officer’s report quotes extensively from our heritage assessment while concluding that development would avoid impact on the Outstanding Universal Value of the World Heritage Site.
